Reading to Improve

Reading was a habit for me in the past. I’m not quite sure when I dropped the habit, but I did somewhere along the way. All I know is that I do want to pick it back up. The many different adventures the stories take you through are exhilarating. This time, not only do I want to read for fun, I want to read to improve myself. If anyone has any recommendations, please send them my way.

These are the books that I seem to return to every now and again. They’re definitely recommended – at least once in your lifetime.

How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale by Dale Carnegie

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you like to win, but you think you can’t,
It is almost certain you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,
For out in the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow’s will –
It’s all in the state of MIND.

If you think you’re outclassed, you are,
You’ve got to think high to rise,
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles, don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man
But soon or later the man who wins
